All though originally designed for guitar the Space Charge Distortion operates great with bass guitar as well due to its excellent low end response. If you use a EHX Big Muff for bass then the Space Charge will do similar sounds to this pedal but with more dynamics and clarity, it will also do manic ripping fuzz bass sounds. The special bass guitar version of the Space Charge has even more low end plus a modified equalizer response the pedal will still work very well on a guitar for dual use.
